I recommend Sushi O Sushi. Good Japanese restaurant with good sushi. Been there a couple times and just revisited recently for lunch. They seem to be pretty popular and have good business during lunch hours.

I recommend their beef teriyaki.

Their salad

and miso soup are good too.

Their fish and beef are pretty tasty and good as well.

The Counter

The Counter
3055 Olin Avenue
San Jose, CA 95128
Phone: 408-423-9200

I recommend The Counter. A good burger place located in Santana Row. Went there recently with some friends for lunch and personally ordered from the "Build Your own Burger" menu.

I built a turkey burger with lettuce and cucumbers and BBQ sauce. It was quite yummy! :) They have tables inside

as well as outside. Their burgers are quite juicy and are pretty good tasting! If you're looking for a good burger place, and have never tried "The Counter", I recommend it!

Trader Joe's Wild Blueberry Tarte

I recommend Trader Joe's Wild Blueberry Tarte. If you're a blueberry fan, this tart is for you! Filled with blueberries and nothing more, it's sweet tasting and the crust is just perfect. Not too dry, not too hard. I've had this many times, and each time I've had it, I've enjoyed every bite!

I believe you have to take it out and let it defrost a bit before eating it though, but I can't be positive so be sure to read the directions beforehand on the back of the box.

Trader Joe's Peach and Blueberry Panna Cotta

I recommend Trader Joe's Peach and Blueberry Panna Cotta. When I first had it, I thought it kind of tasted like Chinese 酸梅, but maybe it was just a first instinct. Personally, I think the blueberry side tastes better than the peach, but it tastes pretty good overall. Good dessert to try if you've never had it before.

Jamba Vanilla Strawberry Jubilation - Yogurt and Sorbet

I recommend Jamba's All Natural Vanilla Strawberry Jubilation Yogurt and Sorbet. Soft juicy yogurt & sorbet bars that have this sweet taste that just melt in your mouth as you take each bite.

My first time trying these bars and personally like them. I heard they have a few different flavors, but this is the only flavor I've had so far.

薪五餅二魚 Nutrition House

薪五餅二魚 Nutrition House

496 Barber Ln
Milpitas, CA 95035

http://www.5bing2yu.com/

I recommend 薪五餅二魚 (Nutrition House). Went there for the first time for lunch today and it was not too bad. Some of the things aren't as good, but it's decent. The soybean milk is okay, but the 蛋餅's not that good.

I recommend their 冬瓜湯麵 (Winter Melon Noodles). I think that was the best out of all the things we ordered this time. If I ever go back there again, I'm definitely gonna order it.

Tong Dumpling Pot

Tong Dumpling Pot
6184 Bollinger Road
San Jose, CA 95129

I recommend Tong Dumpling Pot. Went there recently with some friends for lunch and thought it was pretty good. It's a small restaurant and there aren't that many tables available, but the dumplings are pretty tasty.

Marie Callender's

Marie Callendar's
4710 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA 94022
650-941-6989
http://www.mariecallenders.com/

I recommend Marie Callender's pies. They have really good pies there. My family has been buying pies there ever since I could remember. My personal favorites from them are coconut and kahlúa cream cheese,

Others I've tried are cream cheese, custard, and pumpkin. Those aren't bad either, but they're not ones we get often.

Shabuway - Japanese Hot Pot

Shabuway
180 Castro Street
Mountain View, CA 94041-1207
www.shabuway.com

I recommend Shabuway. A Japanese hot pot place on Castro. They do half & half for the broth and give you a good amount of meat with vegetables along with sauce too. Went there once with some friends and thought it was pretty good.

So if you like hot pot, and you've never been there before, try it out!

Mogo: Korean Taco Truck

Mogo: Korean Taco Truck

I recommend Korean taco trucks. There's apparently a lot of these roaming around the bay area. They're at different places every day so you have to twitter them to track them down!

The one I've been to is pretty cheap too. Tacos were only $2.00. If you've never had Korean tacos before, I recommend Korean taco trucks! They give you a good amount of food too!

Blush: Organic Frozen Yogurt

Blush: Organic Frozen Yogurt

I recommend Blush. Another frozen yogurt place that's pretty good. Went there twice recently and really like their new mango frozen yogurt. I'm a fan of mangoes so obviously I chose to get mango with mango topping.

Personally, I think all the frozen yogurt places are all the same. Except for Tartini. I personally don't like tartini because I'm not a fan of tart yogurt, but otherwise, they all taste the same to me.

There's one in Stanford Shopping Center and one in Milpitas Town Center. Been to both on separate occasions.

Specialty's Cafe & Bakery

Specialty's Cafe & Bakery
http://www.specialtys.com

Good sandwich place. Similar to Panera Bread, but oh so much better!

I recommend their BBQ Beef sandwich. Beef with juicy BBQ sauce on top! MmMmMmMm!!! Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty good too. I recommend their Denver Egg breakfast sandwich if you're looking for good breakfast sandwiches.

You can even order online and go for pick up, so you don't have to wait in the long lines of people. If you want to eat-in, I recommend going around 1:00-2:00pm so it's not as crowded and the lines aren't as long. Less waiting time that way. You can even do self-order as well to avoid the lines.
