I recommend N.Y. Bagels Cafe. Decided to go to Taipei City Hall today wanting to see if I could find Eslite and maybe even Taipei 101 and discovered N.Y. Bagels Cafe right by the City Hall Bus Station (市政府轉運站) and the new department store that just opened not too long ago (阪急百貨). The menu looked good so I decided to go in and have lunch there.

The inside isn't super big and still had leftover Halloween decorations.



There's even a dessert section that had cheesecake and other yummy desserts, but I didn't order any.



I did order a Blueberry roast beef bagel sandwich and a cup of orange juice though and it was delicious!







You might be thinking the same thing the waitress asked me, roast beef with a blueberry bagel?!? When the waitress heard my order, she explained to me that blueberry bagel was sweet (as if I didn't already know that) combined with roast beef (which is salty). She probably thought I was a bit weird, but it was actually really good! :) It also came with some fries, but I didn't eat the fries. The sandwich was really good though!

The place isn't super big but the food is good so if you're a fan of bagels and sandwiches, this is the place to go!

I recommend 592 Coffee. Located in Taichung city. A new restaurant that just opened not too long ago. Went there for the first time the other day with my aunt and thought the food was good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice too, though it's not a big restaurant. There weren't that many people when we went, I don't think many people know about the place yet, since they just recently opened so business may not be super great, but the food is worth trying out.











It's really close to my aunt's, so I would definitely go back and try it again sometime when I go back to Taichung. I definitely recommend it to others, so if you're interested you can check it out

I recommend 齊民 (Qimin Organic Hotpot). It's one big pot and you order what you want and the servers bring it to you. All food is organic, hence the name Qimin Organic Hotpot. The restaurant is really nice and pretty and the food is really good.











All their food is really fresh too. The meat, the vegetables, everything's really fresh. And the food tastes really good. You can choose what sauce you want too. Of course, they have certain options, and they bring it to your table for you to choose which sauce you want.

It's pretty pricey though since it's all organic, but the food is really good. Went there once with my parents and my grandma, and will probably go back again if I have the chance.

I recommend 典藏 Artco Food. The inside of the restaurant is really nice if you go for dinner. Kind of dark with candle lighting. It's also very quite in the restaurant and the food is really good. Went there recently for the first time and thought it was good.

I recommend Sam's Chowder Mobile. Similar to Mogo's Korean Taco Truck, except instead of Korean Tacos, you get Clam Chowder!



They also have sandwiches too to go along with the chowder. The sandwich that I tried was a lobster sandwich.



I'm not usually a huge seafood fan, and was hesitant to try the lobster sandwich, but when I took a bite out of that sandwich, I couldn't resist to finish the whole thing!

It was SOOOO GOOOOD!! And the chowder was good too, except it was a little bit on the salty side, but still tasted really good. I would go back to this truck again sometime!

California Cafe is really good. Located in Los Gatos Old Town, not only does their food taste good, but if you go for lunch, their outside view is really nice and pretty on a nice and sunny day.











Their strawberry salad and this one other salad (I forgot what it's called) all looked really good, but I didn't try any.





I had their lobster and angel hair pasta and it was delicious! I don't usually like lobster or seafood in general, but I really liked their lobster and angel hair pasta!



I was disappointed in their "Star" Berry Shortcake though. The strawberries were good and sweet, but the shortcake wasn't that good and I didn't like the shortcake part.

The place is pretty small, but their sandwiches are REALLY GOOD!





The reason why their sandwiches are so good is because of the sourdough bread that they use. The bread itself is just awesome!
They're only open for lunch and they don't open on weekends and it's always packed with people! Went there for the first time yesterday with my dad and a friend and enjoyed it a lot!

If you've never tried it before, it's worth trying out. The place isn't super big, but their bread is just awesome! And according to my friend, it's delicious!

I recommend Ogisan Ramen Shabu-Shabu. Went there for dinner for the first time yesterday with a friend and thought it was pretty good.



It's not a huge restaurant, but the seating is not bad.



I didn't order ramen, but my friend did, and it looked pretty good.



My teriyaki chicken and agendashi tofu was good too.



The price isn't too bad either compared with the amount of food you get for each order. Worth trying out sometime if you've never tried it before. If you have been there, I think it's worth going back to.

I recommend Sushi O Sushi. Good Japanese restaurant with good sushi. Been there a couple times and just revisited recently for lunch. They seem to be pretty popular and have good business during lunch hours.



I recommend their beef teriyaki.



Their salad



and miso soup are good too.



Their fish and beef are pretty tasty and good as well.

I recommend Tatami Sushi & Seafood Buffet located in Vallco Shopping Mall.
Went there for the first time today for a friend's birthday and personally think that it's one of the better buffet places.

They have a lot of variety of sushi & seafood available and their food is very fresh and tasty too.
